About the Business
Maisy gained a Masters degree in Applied Linguistics. She is a full member of The Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIoL) and The Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI) in the UK. Her dedication to assist in effective cross-cultural communication both in written and spoken Chinese spans over a decade. Since 1998, she has been working as a translator, proofreader, interpreter and copywriter. She also provides desk top publishing services using Adobe Acrobat, Dreamwaver, Fireworks, FrameMaker, Illustrator and Indesign.
Starting from 2001, Maisy was signed up by a number of voice agencies to voice for advertisements, corporate videos, documentaries, lipsync/ADR and IVR voice prompts. She is an excellent sight-reader and her natural voice is persuasive, warm, sensitive and serene. She has performed a range of voices, from playful and innocent young teenagers to harsh and weathered old women.
Maisy is a keen amateur photographer.
