About the Business
Clearcut Translations is a Bristol based translation and interpreting company, established in 2010. It is run by Jarka Meleszkiewicz a passionate linguist who, after travelling extensively and living in many European countries, decided to settle in the UK and set up her own translation and interpreting business. Jarka is bilingual English/Polish and would like to use these skills in the broader community, to promote mutual understanding and cultural awareness.
She speaks Spanish, which she learned at Exeter University and whilst living and working as an English teacher in Andalucia. Jarka is a fully qualified court and police interpreter. She passed her Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (English law option) exam in June 2011. It is her aim to work with the Polish community, in courts and police stations, providing a professional and high quality translation and interpreting service.
