About the Business
My name is Jana Garnsworthy and I am a qualified freelance Czech English translator based near Exeter, UK. I hold the Institute of Linguists' Diploma in Translation (General, Business, Law), a qualification considered by many the benchmark of professional translation standards. I always loved languages and prior to my arriving in the UK I studied English and French at Charles University in Prague. Even back then I wanted to become a translator. But before I finished my degree I left for England and never went back.
Some years later, having done other jobs and having started a business in a totally different field, the love of languages was still there. Having two bilingual children I have always despaired at the lack of Czech resources on the subject of bilingualism. And last but not the least, I love pottery and decided to have a go at building an online shop selling some lovely Czech pottery made in a couple of small potteries in the Czech Republic.
